GPA wins award for Energy and Environmental Education

In a ceremony at the State House on May 13, Gardner Pilot Academy received a Secretary’s Award for Excellence in Energy and Environmental Education.

Massachusetts Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Secretary Rick Sullivan presented the award to GPA to recognize the school’s “Kids Green Their School — Energy Conservation” program.

“It gives me great pleasure to recognize the students and teachers who work to raise awareness about energy and environmental issues that not only affect the Commonwealth, but the whole world,” Secretary Sullivan said. “Their dedication goes far beyond the classroom and provides inspiration for future generations.”
