Peoples Bank supports social justice education at GPA

Peoples Federal Savings Bank recently donated $5,000 to Gardner Pilot Academy to support social justice projects at the school. ┬áThe funds will purchase read-aloud books for classrooms focused on culturally responsive teaching and social justice topics. GPA strives to have students understand the importance of giving back and helping to make our world a better place. GPA earns Promising Practices Award for arts instruction

EdVestors has presented Gardner Pilot Academy with a $10,000 Promising Practices Award through the Boston Public Schools Arts Expansion Initiative. The award recognizes seven schools that meet or exceed the goal of providing 100% of students with at least once weekly, year-long arts instruction and, additionally, have lessons and examples to share with other schools regarding how to make arts alive and sustainable.
