On April 15, GPA held our Health & Science Night as part of GPA’s Health Week (April 13-17). GPA partner organizations such as Joseph Smith Health Center, Harvard Ed Portal, Smart Smiles, Cooking Matters, and City Connects set up stations to share information about the health-related programming and supports they provide at GPA.

The guest speaker from Harvard University – the director of educational programs at the Harvard Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Kathryn Hollar – spoke with students, parents, and staff about the importance of finding opportunities for school-age children to use their innate curiosity and natural desire for invention and innovation. At every grade level, GPA students and families enjoyed the opportunity to explore science-related activities facilitated by GPA staff and students.
